    Would like everyones feedback

    Saturday, October 27, 2007, 06:53 PM [General]

    Hello Everyone

As some of you know I have a blog outside of this site which documents my journey to become the youngest certified hypnotist in Columbus, Georgia. that is just one goal of the site. The other goal of the site is to educate the public about hypnosis and become a valuable resource for the new and advanced hypnotist and the hypno junkie. Well I have been working the last few days on updating the site, adding new features and etc. I would love to get the feedback of everyone on ourhypnospace. I would for everyone to check the site out and let me know what you think or what you think could be done to make it a premier site for the hypnotist.

I'm looking for any ideas you may have and also want it to become a sort of community outside of ourhypnospace as well. So I would love to hear from all of you. Another thing I would like to do is if you have a hypno blog or website that you would like to have listed on my site let me know.

I am also looking for articles about hypnosis and etc. If you have one you think is decent or want to write one just send me an e-mail to josh@2ndchancehouses.com with the article. If I think it is a decent article I will post the article with credit given to you and a link back to your site or blog. I have been working on this a while and really want the hypno community to let me know what you all think. Hopefully I can educate, inform and entertain at the same time. Well look forward to having you guys visit and look forward to hearing any ideas on how to make the site better. I also want to thank Mr. Cal Banyan, Hypnosis Center and the banyan hypnosis mall for allowing me to link to some of their content. You guys are wonderful!!

    the website is

What do you use hypnosis for?

    Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 10:59 AM [General]

    Hey Everyone

I got a little free time today so I thought I would do something a little different with the blog today. As a new hypnotist in training I started to think how would I describe what I do with hypnosis to a protential client. As most people know we have to be careful with what we say so we don't get in trouble with the state for so called practicing medicine. I am having trouble putting what hypnosis is in layman terms and how it can help in laymen terms. For instance I know hypnosis is the bypass of the critical factor and the estamblishment of acceptable selected thinking, but most people I tell this too are like "huh".

So for fun I wanted to see how YOU would describe how hypnosis can help a person if someone would call your office for the first time asking how can hypnosis help me? I think this could be fun to see the different ways people describe hypnosis to a protential client. So to start things out here is my idea:

"I use hypnosis to find the negative habits and emotions within a person that hinder there day to day life and help to release them by causing changes within there sub conscious mind"

Look forward to reading what other people say to there protential clients. Have fun with this and as I think of new ones I will post them as well.

A talk with Dr. Charles Skillas

    Tuesday, October 23, 2007, 11:05 PM [General]

    Hello Everyone

Beside some bad weather here in Columbus, Georgia everything has been going great. Tonight was my first official class for my NGH Certification. We had a conference call and we were lucky enough to speak with a Dr. Charles Skillas who was really wonderful and has done a lot for the hypnotist here in Georgia. I learned a lot and didn't realize how big a role the National Guild of Hypnotist played in saving Georgia from becoming one of the states that we couldn't practice in. I just felt I needed to get this off my chest and also acknowledge Dr. Skillas for what he has done for the profession.
